Takumi Minamino leaves a big clue about his long-term future at Liverpool

Liverpool midfielder Takumi Minamino has dropped a big clue about his long-term future, after admitting how much he enjoys life on loan at Southampton.

the 28 years has already played far more minutes for the Saints in the past two months (413) than he has in the first five months of the campaign with Jurgen Klopp’s men (289). Considering this, it’s no surprise that the Japanese star is enjoying more playing time on the South Coast.

Speaking in an interview with Southampton official website, Minamino admitted to regaining his confidence.

““ I feel a real positive energy from the team. I feel a good connection with the rest of the players and the manager, so I really appreciate that here, ”he said.

“For a football player, playing is the most important thing. Playing more helps me regain my confidence as a player. I want to play more; the more I help the team and I contribute to the victories, the more my confidence will grow.

“Playing in the Premier League has been a dream for me since I was a child. I really like having the chance to play in the Premier League. “

Despite having impressed with Southampton, the playmaker knows he only has limited time with the club before trying to crack Liverpool’s first team again next season.

He continued: “I only have a few months left to help the team. But I want to work hard and use all my abilities to make sure the team is doing well and getting as high as possible in the league.

“I just want to help the team by scoring and helping as much as possible. I’m an attacking player, so it’s my responsibility to score and help the team. This is where I focus. “

Minamino’s comments seem to suggest he believes he still has a future at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp, however, will have the final say on it, as he refreshes his squad over the summer.

Liverpool should replace Wijnaldum perfect

Georginio Wijnaldum’s time at Liverpool appears to be coming to an end, but there could already be a replacement ready to go this summer.

Wijnaldum, 30, will be in breach of contract at the end of the current season. He has shown no sign of extending his stay and is said to have verbally agreed to join Barcelona. The absence of transfer fees would have encouraged the Catalans to opt for the Dutch international. The Spanish giants are known to be struggling financially and a no-cost experienced player is sure to please.

After signing for the Anfield outfit in the summer of 2016, Wijnaldum has become an essential part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad. He made 228 appearances in all competitions, scoring 22 goals.

But it’s the former PSV’s ability to sit down in midfield and free attackers that makes him special. He seems able to find the likes of Mohamed salah, Sadio mane and Roberto Firmino with ease, while protecting the defense.

He will certainly miss Klopp, but another Dutchman could be the answer. The player in question is the sensation of the 18-year-old Ajax Ryan gravenberch.

He may be wet behind the ears, but the Amsterdam-born starlet has already made 51 senior appearances for the Eredivisie giants. He has also been selected three times by Oranje and seeks to have the world of football at his feet.

Gravenberch has started 25 of Ajax’s 27 league games this season and helped them take the top spot in the standings.

There is no report linking Liverpool to the midfielder, but they could sit down and take note of his value. A Sport Witness report suggests that Sparta Rotterdam’s younger brother Danzell Gravenberch could be available for just € 35million.
