The ‘Demon’s Souls’ mystery door is unlocked, here’s what’s on the other side

The mystery is finally solved.

Since the release of the PlayStation 5 remake of Demon souls, a variety of new content has been discovered by the community.

The biggest mystery to date has been a new and mysterious locked door in World 1-3 in the Palace of Boletaria. So far, the door has remained locked.

But thanks to Twitch speedrunner Distortion2. Players discovered a new object, the Ceramic Piece, and immediately knew it had something to do with the locked door. Bluepoint, the studio behind the remake, included similar pieces in their remake of Shadow of the colossus which led to a new sword.

This time around, the ceramic pieces lead to a new set of armor.

Turns out these coins can only be found in Pure White or Pure Black World Tendency, and only 11 can be found in each game. Trade 26 of them at Sparkly the Crow – an avian merchant found in this game with cousins of Dark souls it’s also the only way to get hold of the rusty key.

This key opens the door, and on the other side you’ll find a whole new set of armor – and only long hoped for by the Souls of the demon community: The Penetrator Set.

This is the armor worn by the Souls of the demon boss of the same name, the boss of the same level where the door is located. Here is Distortion2 showing off its new set:

The Penetrator set was not available in the original version of the game on PS3, although you can get the Penetrator Sword.

This isn’t the only new armor in the remake, as a number of new items have been added to the game, including all of the bonuses you get with the Digital Deluxe version of the game as well as new rings and other items. such as new rings (which you can and should choose as a starting gift).

All in all, it’s a really cool little secret that has definitely gotten the community excited about the game. Bluepoint continues to knock it out of the park with this remake.
