The Head of State receives a written message from the President of Sri Lanka


His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, received a written message from Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of the Democratic Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, regarding bilateral relations between the two countries.

The message was received by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, when he received in Abu Dhabi HE Naseer Ahmed, Minister of Environment and Special Envoy of the President of Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the opportunities available to enhance joint cooperation in several fields, in addition to issues of common interest and regional and international developments.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of His Excellency Naseer Ahmed, stressing the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries.

For his part, Nassir Ahmed expressed his country’s aspiration to enhance bilateral cooperation with the UAE in all fields, praising the country’s leading position at the regional and international levels.
