Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is one of the highest-grossing films of 2022, and the director is poised to bring documentary making to the digital platform. The protagonist of Anupam Kher talks about the unprecedented horrific genocide of Kashmiri pandits. According to the interviews of Vivek and his wife-producer Pallavi Joshi, they spent years researching and meeting the bereaved families for an unbiased, sassy and real story.
Now, Vivek has confirmed that the making of The Kashmir Files will be released as a documentary about OTT. Vivek shared the news on his Twitter while responding to his follower. A netizen asked Vivek: “Sir, there is another documentary of real first-hand experiences shared with you by the community. We are waiting for you!” Vivek took his tweet and replied to him, “We’re making a web series.”

For the inexperienced, The Kashmir Files earned Rs 340 crores worldwide. Always speaking his mind, Vivek Agnihotri took an indirect dig at Koffee with Karan host Karan Johar. On Thursday, the director of The Kashmir Files wrote a note asking ‘boys of Koffee Gang’ to focus on their films.
He tweeted: “I think the naughty boys at the Koffee club should ask their SM and PR agencies to focus on their film rather than do battle with me. I’m not the kind you can break with free obstacles. The best. Always.”
Vivek even took a look at Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt actor Brahmastra. Talking about the film, he said, “Brahmastra, do they know the meaning of that? And then they talk about Astra Verse, what is that anyway? Then you put your director, who Brahmastra can’t even pronounce. He’s a great director. I loved his Wake Up Sid and the second movie and I wish he made a wonderful movie. I worry about him like a mother worries about their children. I’m very disappointed. So these are the problems.”
