The media had a total meltdown over Trump’s 2024 announcement — check out these unhinged headlines

Donald Trump announced Tuesday night that he is launching his third campaign for president in 2024 from his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach.

The announcement conflicts with numerous GOP officials who hoped he would delay any statement until after the Georgia Senate runoff.

The crowd in attendance was greeted with a simple message when Trump was introduced: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome the next President and First Lady of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump!”

Remarkably, Trump’s speech remained focused and pointed — even avoiding claims of stolen elections, something he continues to focus on and address on social media since 2020.

The mainstream media didn’t care. Several outlets produced seemingly pre-written, hysterical messages focused solely on the story they’ve been building since Jan. 6.

Loose media reaction to Trump’s 2024 announcement

The media wasted no time getting completely detached from Trump’s 2024 announcement. Their headlines were something to behold.

And they play into the hands of Trump and his supporters.

Let’s start with this word salad mangled piece of garbage from NPR:

BREAKING: Donald Trump, who attempted to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and sparked a deadly riot at the Capitol in a desperate bid to stay in power, has run for president again in 2024.

They threw in 28 extra words that were totally unnecessary for the headline of their social media post.

And yes, by the way, that’s the same NPR that refused to run the legitimate Hunter Biden laptop story, which helped sway the previous presidential election because they refused to “waste our time on stories that aren’t real stories.”

Perhaps any report from NPR should be referred to as, “NPR, which attempted to rig the 2020 presidential election and created integrity issues that resulted in a January 6 riot, reports that…”

Media meltdown

NPR wasn’t alone in avoiding simply reporting Trump’s 2024 announcement. Here are some more examples…

The Washington Post accused Trump of “fomenting an insurrection”.

In an expanded version of the Washington Post’s announcement, they also took the NPR approach.

Twice-ousted former President Donald Trump, 76, who refused to concede in the 2020 election and is the subject of multiple criminal investigations, is running again in 2024, raising the likelihood of a potential rematch with President Biden.

Have these outlets never heard of the ancient writer’s adage that less is more? Instead, they are trying to repeat the entire history of the 2020 election in one sentence.

The New York Times said Trump announced his 2024 campaign by “repeating lies and exaggerating (his) record.”

But the Times also managed to squash the Hunter Biden scandal for over a year before finally getting around to correcting their own repeated lies.

MSNBC, the unhinged outlet of misfit toys that they are, ran a headline indicating that Trump’s 2024 run has trapped Republicans in “a prison of their own making.”

Then, of course, there were the requisite verified accounts that referred to Trump as a “fascist.”

Daily Beast columnist David Rothkopf calmly wrote this paunch, and you can bet he meant it.

What a fresh, unique take that had never been imagined by anyone before.

Left winger Dean Obeidallah told his followers there are only a handful of ways to stop Trump in 2024.

“History tells us that fascists Like it Trump control over supporters only ends when the leader: 1. Receives life imprisonment 2. Goes into exile 3. Dies; Or 4. Be executed,” he wrote.

Dean is a regular contributor to CNN, The Daily Beast, and MSNBC. And he seemingly suggested to his listeners and viewers that the only way to stop Trump is to kill him.

The most amazing thing about this is that Trump has been hinting for months that he will run again, if not since the previous election ended.

And he came out and gave a professional, buttoned-up speech that never mentioned stolen elections and stuck to the message.

And the press still lost their minds.
