WWE has decided to let go of John Brody, who this week held the position of Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Partnerships Director and Global Director of the company.
Pwinsider.com reports that they heard he was released on Wednesday or Thursday. In August, WWE moved its global sales and partnerships division to where Body reported to Stephanie McMahon at the time of her appointment.
Brody had worked for the company for almost six years. He had also worked as a WWE advisor before joining the company full time.
His resume stated that he was “a key member of the company’s executive committee charged with providing a strategic vision for WWE’s global sales operations while developing and expanding the company’s global media partnerships” and through his say, “WWE’s global sales revenue increased 110% from 2015 to 2020, thanks to cross-platform partnerships with premier brands such as Procter & Gamble, Cricket Wireless, Coca-Cola, Mars, Hyundai and Unilever. “
What is more interesting is that the report indicates that there were additional layoffs this week. However, the media is still working to confirm those departures, so keep an eye out for that.
Brody’s departure comes after a significant portion of his squad was laid off earlier this year and many were subsequently made redundant.
