TOP: Indian Residential Schools to reopen for grades 9 to 12 starting tomorrow

On Sunday, the government of Uttar Pradesh ordered all residential schools to reopen for grades 9 to 12 from February 9.

Residential schools include Jawahar Navodaya vidyalayas, Sainik schools, Rajkiye Ashram Padhati vidyalayas, and other schools.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said the decision had been taken to regularize the university session, hit by the coronavirus pandemic, for the benefit of students as well as for future exams advice.

He said a strict coronavirus protocol should be maintained by school authorities when classes resume at their institutions.
