Triple H spoke to the media following Wednesday’s WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver – Night 1 special. Towards the end of it, he was asked about a recent NXT talent reunion and what he said during it.
The meeting was about NXT’s next move to Tuesday night. It has been erroneously reported that Triple H has made references to AEW and the competition with Dynamite. It was later reported that Triple H was not saying anything about All Elite Wrestling, but instead the focus was on the benefits of switching NXT to a different night.
“Yeah, listen, if I wanted everyone to know what was in the meeting, I would have posted a memo, and you could have gotten it straight from one of your sources and printed it out.” . It was a conversation with our talent, that was exactly it.
It was informative to tell them where we are going. Meetings that we have all the time. Given the COVID restrictions, we’ve had a lot less than we normally would. Regarding the content of the meeting which has been reported by a lot of people and elsewhere, completely inaccurate.
Never said, never high, no one else was ever high. It wasn’t about other people, or other brands, or companies, or anything else. It was a factual meeting to tell people where we are going, where we are headed and to motivate them to go in the future. No more no less.”
