UAE: Rain in Fujairah and Abu Dhabi, increased risk of rain in coastal areas of Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates on Saturday

It is raining in Fujairah. Earlier in the day, rains were also reported in Al Ruwais, Sir Baniyas Islands and other parts of Al Dhafra region, as well as Das Islands.

An official from the National Meteorological Center said Gulf News: “Cloud seeding operations were carried out in the United Arab Emirates on Friday, to increase rainfall in the region.” The official added that no cloud seeding operation had been carried out on Saturday.

Light or scattered rains are expected in the coastal areas of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.

Instagram account storm_ae shared a video of a light drizzle over the Delma Islands on Saturday afternoon.

In its weather forecast for the day, the NCM predicted partly cloudy to cloudy weather at times with a likelihood of light rain over some coastal and eastern areas.

The weather should be slightly windy. “Moderate to cool northwesterly winds with speeds of 15 to 25 reaching 40 km / h,” according to the NCM forecast for today.

Windy weather conditions will make the sea rough in the Persian Gulf.

Similar weather conditions are expected to continue on Sunday, with a likelihood of precipitation shifting to the west and north of the country. NCM said: “On Sunday it will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with a likelihood of light rain over parts of the West and North.”

The seas are expected to be rough to moderately rough tomorrow, both in the Persian Gulf and weak in the Arabian Sea.

However, on Monday it will be partly cloudy to sunny. Humidity is expected to increase in parts of the west and temperatures will rise across the country.
