UAQ police warn motorists against stopping and parking on highways

Umm Al Quwain: Police, in cooperation with the municipality, have launched a public awareness campaign to prevent rallies and stops on the sides of Emirates Road and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street in the emirate in order to providing rad security and preserving the general appearance of the city.

Vehicles parked on the streets can pose traffic hazards, they said.

The campaign aims to unify the efforts of all members of society to preserve the environment, improve road safety, reduce accidents and keep traffic flowing.

Road signs have been installed to remind the public of the rules. Vehicles cannot park on the sides of streets except in an emergency. UAQ police called on the public to obey the laws.
