United States Allows Pfizer’s Covid Booster Injections for Elderly, High-Risk People: Statement


The United States has allowed the use of Pfizer boosters for people over 65 (representation)


The United States on Wednesday cleared the use of booster shots of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine for people over the age of 65, those at high risk of serious illness and those living in settings with high exposure to the virus.

“Today’s action demonstrates that currently available science and data continue to guide FDA decision making for COVID-19 vaccines during this pandemic,” said Janet Woodcock, Acting Chief Food Officer and Drug Administration.
