Among the celebrities who will join the contestants to go head-to-head will be Strictly Come Dancing legends Tess, 51, and Craig Revel Horwood, 56.

Masked dancer duo Oti Mabuse and Joel Dommett, comedian and presenter Jonathan Ross alongside comedian, writer and actress Katherine Ryan and Radio 1 dream crew Nick Grimshaw and Clara Amfo also join the lineup.

“ I can’t wait to see the celebrity and competitor teams compete against each other and viewers to see what a special we have put together. ”

Contestant and celebrity pairs will need to bring their A-game, as they attempt to uncover the hidden talents of eight mystery performers in each episode.

The former All Star Family Fortunes host returns to mainstream television with a new role in the irreverent series, which strives to blend the best elements of two sure-fire odds-winners – game shows and talent shows.

A first look at the series saw a perfectly suited Vernon dodging fireworks, feathers, and flying marshmallows while familiarizing himself with his storyline.

A plume of fire even threatens to engulf the presenter as he attempts to dodge flying obstacles, suggesting that the entertainment on display will mirror ITV’s mainstay Britain’s Got Talent.

A visibly tousled Vernon is later seen dusting himself off while telling viewers, ‘Blimey, I didn’t see this coming. ”

ITV syndicated the show after a promising start for Fox Network in the US, where it launched with Wayne Brady as the host starting March 10.
