Vikram Vedha: Rakesh Roshan Judges Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan With Action Thriller


As soon as the Vikram Vedha trailer was released on September 8, it went viral in no time with netizens praising the knockout performances of its two lead heroes Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan and their seeti-maar dialogues. Now Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan has reviewed the film in a recent interview.

In a recent interview, actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who recently turned 73 on Sept. 6, said he saw his son’s film and praised Hrithik-Saif’s script and performances. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, he said: “I have seen Vikram Vedha and it is a very intelligently presented script that shows that the director duo (Pushkar-Gayatri) has worked very hard. They have presented the plot in a very new way. Both actors did a great job.”

The senior Roshan, who directed his son in his debut film Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai and later gave him the blockbuster Krrish franchise, even added that Bollywood movies are off to a good start because the trailers haven’t been able to entice audiences to see the cinemas. He added that when he saw the trailer for Vikram Vedha, his first reaction was to see the film.

For the inexperienced, Vikram Vedha, which will hit theaters on September 30, is the official remake of the Tamil film of the same name. The neo-noir action thriller was directed by the husband-wife film-making duo Pushkar-Gayatri and they have also directed the upcoming movie.

In the original, R played Madhavan, who most recently appeared in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect in which he portrayed ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, Vikram, and Vijay Sethupathi, who will appear as the main antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan- starrer Jawan, played the gangster Veda.
