Vivo would replace Funtouch OS with a brand new avatar and name, namely Origin OS. Famous tipster Digital Chat Station said that Vivo has confirmed that through their official WeChat account that they will launch Origin OS soon. The exact launch date is now known but Vivo will talk in more detail about this brand new software during its Vivo 2020 developer conference on November 19. This conference will be held in Shenzhen and will focus on the new operating system, IoT, applications, games, and other topics.

The tipster claims Vivo has confirmed this development through its official WeChat account and says more details about this operating system will be shared at the developer conference. The exact date of the deployment of this new Origin operating system is not known. There is also no clarity on which phone will get it first.
While there is no information on all of the changes that Origin OS plans to make, the tipster has reportedly said it will be a significant improvement over the current Funtouch OS. Additionally, in one of Weibo’s previous posts, Digital Chat Station suggested that Origin OS would be one of the best custom Android UI skins. We hope Vivo will release more information about Origin OS at the developer conference in November.
