Volkswagen India has launched a special service package for the new Taigun subcompact SUV, which starts at Rs. 21,999 for a term of 4 years.

Volkswagen India entered the compact SUV segment with the launch of the all-new Taigun. The SUV is priced at ₹ 10.50 lakh, going up to ₹ 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the prices are quite competitive, the company simultaneously launched a very lucrative “Service Value Package” for the Taigun, which starts at 21,999, for 4 years. The new VW Taigun comes with two turbocharged petrol engines – a 1.0-liter TSI and a 1.5-liter TSI. Both come with a 6-speed manual transmission, as well as an optional 6-speed torque converter for the 1.0 TSI and a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission for the 1.5 TSI.

For the 1.0-liter manual version of Volkswagen Taigun, the Service Value Package is priced at 21,999, while for the 1.0-liter automatic option, it starts at 27,999. At the same time, the service package for both – the Taigun 1.5-liter manual and 1.5-liter automatic is priced at 23,999. Announcing the package, Ashish Gupta, Brand Manager, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said: “A Volkswagen only needs service once a year or 15,000 km. This means that you can now service your Taigun at just over 5,000 per year.

The Volkswagen Taigun, like all Volkswagen models, will come with the company’s 4EVER Care package, which includes a standard 4 year / 100,000 km warranty, which can be extended up to 7 years for 11,999. The 4EVER Care pack also includes 4 years of roadside assistance (RSA) extendable up to 10 years and 3 free services. With all of this, Volkswagen says the cost of owning the Taigun will be as low as 37 paise per kilometer for 1.0-liter models and 40 paise per kilometer for 1.5-liter models.
