Volvo XC40 Top Up Bookings Open; Receive 150 bookings in 2 hours

Volvo has started accepting bookings for the new XC40 Recharge in India, a day after the electric SUV’s launch. The XC40 Recharge is priced at Rs 55.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available exclusively through Volvo’s digital sales channels, with the company saying deliveries will begin from October 2022. The booking amount is set at Rs 50,000 with buyers given the option to buy the vehicle directly. The company even issued a statement saying it had already received 150 bookings for the car and that too just 2 hours after the bookings opened online.

Volvo first showcased the XC40 Recharge in India last year with plans to introduce it itself in 2021, though the company has postponed the launch until 2022 due to supply chain restrictions. The XC40 Recharge now available is slightly different from the car previously shown, with the model undergoing a global facelift in the intervening period. The update models will receive modifications to the bumpers, along with newly designed LED headlights, although much of the interior and exterior has remained unchanged.
