Vue International appoints Stella David as non-executive chairman

Vue International, the largest private cinema operator in Europe, has appointed Stella David as non-executive chairman.

David, who takes office January 26, currently holds non-executive and independent board positions at Entain, Bacardi, Domino’s Pizza Group and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

“I am delighted to welcome someone of Stella’s experience and caliber to the non-executive chair position at Vue. Stella has a deep understanding of the consumer environment and a strong track record of growth,” said Tim Richards, CEO and Founder of Vue International.

“This will be invaluable at this critical time for the company and our industry, and as we look to future opportunities.”

David said it was an exciting time to join Vue as the cinema exhibition industry rebuilds from the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Over the past 18 months we’ve seen tremendous pent-up demand for the theatrical experience and – with many great films coming out later this year – this is a pivotal time for the film industry,” she said.

Vue International, one of the world’s largest private cinema operators, currently has 1,990 screens in 227 locations, including in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Lithuania and Taiwan.
