Former India skipper Virat Kohli has returned to India following the Men in Blue’s recent ICC T20 World Cup 2022 campaign in Australia. The Indians had a good season ending in the semi-finals after a devastating 10-wicket loss to England in Adelaide on November 10.

Although India had set a competitive goal of 169 with half a century of Kohli and Hardik Pandya, it was insufficient as England attacked from the first ball. India was knocked out of the competition by four overs to spare the courtesy of skipper Jos Buttler and Alex Hales’ unbeaten opening score of 170 runs.

Virat Kohli is also a contender for this year’s Player of the Tournament award for his stellar batting performance, including a hard-fought last ball win against arch-rival Pakistan in Melbourne, where he hit an unbeaten 82 runs off 53 balls.
