Deepak Hooda has come a long way in his cricket journey in the span of 19 months. He left Baroda’s state team after an infamous feud with then-captain Krunal Pandya for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21.

The senior all-rounder left Baroda’s bio-bubble and was later banned for the remainder of the domestic season for indiscipline. A dejected Hooda decided to leave the state team, where he played for more than five years.

He became the fourth Indian player to score a T20I century with his 104 against Ireland in the second T20I in Dublin last month. Hooda played the first T20I game against England in Southampton, making 33 in 17 balls.
