Weather alert: stay away from valleys during rains, UAE ministry advises residents

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has warned residents to stay away from the valleys and not risk crossing them during rains and flooding.

The ministry tweeted on Friday: “We advise you to be careful with fluctuating weather to stay away from valleys during rains and floods and not to risk crossing them. Your safety is important to us. “

Transition from fall to winter

A spokesperson for the National Meteorological Center (NCM) told Gulf News that weather disruptions are expected as the season moves from fall to winter. “Always be very careful, especially now that the weather is moving from fall to winter,” the spokesperson said.

Weather forecast

Rain fell in parts of Fujairah and the Northern Emirates on Friday. According to the NCM bulletin, the weather on Saturday and Sunday will be fair to partly cloudy. It will be humid at night and in the morning in some coastal areas. The temperature will drop slightly by Monday and light rains are expected in the northern region of the UAE.

On Tuesday, some coastal and northern areas will continue to have partly cloudy to cloudy weather with precipitation. The seas will be moderate to rough in the Persian Gulf and light to moderate in the Gulf of Oman.
