Kiosk Keith was just as much a staple I’m a celebrity as Ant and Dec, before reportedly being fired from the show in 2017.
The Australian, whose real name is Raymond Grant, was the sole employee of the Outback Shack and he greeted celebrity campmates with silence and an icy stare after they completed a Dingo Dollar Challenge.
His job was to take the contestants’ sack of dollars and call the other stars back at camp, asking them a tough question that, if answered correctly, earned some goodies from the Shack. However, if they were wrong, he would slam the shutters and the celebrities would be left with nothing.
Midway through the 2017 series I’m a celebrity, Keith has disappeared. At the time, Ant and Dec told fans he was unwell and was temporarily replaced by a woman named Kiosk Kath.
The following year in January 2018, ITV finally confirmed that Keith had left for good, issuing a statement saying: “Ray is no longer under contract to the show. There are no plans for him to return this year.”
However, an insider reports that The sun that Keith had an alcohol problem and claimed he was being inappropriate with a female colleague.
“It wasn’t unusual for Keith to show up to work drunk, as he did before, but this incident has shocked everyone,” the source said. “He was drunk when he got on the bus in the morning. He then behaved inappropriately towards a female member of the team who is half his age.”
His ex-wife Donna defended him, saying he is “not a sexual predator” and should not be considered a “terrible man”.
Keith himself wrote a message to fans in late 2018, tweeting: “OK just read I’m no longer on the show for reasons I won’t say, you can figure it out for yourself ffs. This account will no longer be used, so enjoy this last tweet from me.”
In 2018, Keith was officially replaced by Kiosk Kev, whose real name is Mark Herlaar.
Herlaar was briefly replaced by Kiosk Cledwyn after the show moved to Wales.
I’m a celebrity broadcast on ITV at 9pm.
