WWE WrestleMania Backlash Results: Universal Championship Match, Seth Rollins Post-Match Attack | TBEN

In the main event of WWE WrestleMania Backlash, Roman Reigns put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Cesaro. Earlier in the series, Jimmy Uso tried to convince his brother Jey to leave Reigns and Paul Heyman. Reigns left for his match without Jey.

In the opening moments of the match, Cesaro landed on his right shoulder and elbow and the announcer pointed out that Cesaro had favored his bad arm and shoulder throughout the match.

Late in the game, Cesaro’s arm became a bigger factor. The first very close fall occurred after Cesaro was kicked out after being hit by Superman’s punch. Cesaro retaliated with an upercut attempt but his arm disturbed him and Reigns locked himself in the guillotine. Cesaro died and then locked up the sniper. Cesaro made the transition to the cross face but Cesaro’s bad arm kept Reigns dead.

Reigns won the match by forcing Cesaro to pass out at the guillotine and there was no outside interference. Jey Uso came out to attack Cesaro, but Seth Rollins’ music then played and he came out. Rollins and Reigns clashed before Rollins went to attack Cesaro. Rollins continued the attack on Cesaro with a steel chair outside the ring.

Rollins finished Cesaro with a con-chair-to on Cesaro against the steel steps and a curb on the ground.
