A Mediacorp drama has recently become the talk of the town, thanks to this indelible CPR scene:

As an actor performing the CPR, Zhang Ze Tong was naturally in the spotlight.

Zhang, a novice to the industry, earned a contract with Mediacorp through Star Search 2019.

On September 13, the 29-year-old responded to the hoo-ha, acknowledging that the scene is “really really funny” now that he’s watched it.

Zhang added that every medically related scene had a practitioner on set and that the production crew’s top priority was also to ensure the accuracy of such scenes.

The actor then thanked everyone for their “constructive feedback” and asked viewers to continue to support the drama.

His caption translates to, “Yeah, the crew is having the hardest time of all.”

“Healing Heroes” is Mediacorp’s first long-form medical drama, and it follows four young doctors as they navigate life in the hospital.

Featuring veterans like Chen Han Wei, Ann Kok, Shaun Chen, Pierre Png and Paige Chua, the show runs for 130 episodes, 30 minutes each time.
